Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: October 5, 2026

Welcome to The Wild Hare! I am so glad you're here and appreciate your interest in my handmade creations.

The Wild Hare is a small, handmade business where I create a little bit of everything that my "wild hare" inspires me to make. Because of that, every item is created with care and may have its own unique characteristics.

By visiting this website, placing an order, or purchasing a product from The Wild Hare, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. About The Wild Hare

The Wild Hare offers handmade products, custom creations, apparel, crochet, embroidery, cross-stitch, digital products, buttons, stickers, and other creative goods.

Because many of my products are handmade, items may have slight variations in appearance, size, color, texture, or construction.

These variations are a normal and expected part of handmade products and are not considered defects.

2. Product Photos & Examples of Past Work

I do my best to photograph and describe products accurately. However, colors may appear differently depending on your device or screen settings.

Some images displayed on The Wild Hare website, social media, or other promotional materials are examples of past work and are not necessarily available for purchase.

An example image does not mean that the exact item pictured is currently in stock or that it is an active product listing.

If you see something you love that is not currently listed, please contact me at wildhareshop19@gmail.com. Some past creations may be available to recreate as a custom order, while others may not be possible to reproduce exactly.

When recreating a past design, the finished product may vary from the original due to material availability, changes in supplies, or the handmade nature of the item.

3. Product Availability

Many items offered by The Wild Hare are one-of-a-kind or available in very limited quantities.

Product availability can change quickly, particularly when items are also sold in person, at craft shows, or through social media.

An item may occasionally sell before the website can be updated. If this happens, I will contact you as soon as possible to discuss available options.

The Wild Hare reserves the right to correct product descriptions, pricing, availability, or other errors on the website.

4. Pricing

Prices listed on the website are subject to change without notice.

For custom products, the price displayed may be a starting price. The final price may vary depending on factors such as:

  • Design complexity
  • Size
  • Apparel choice
  • Materials required
  • Quantity
  • Personalization
  • Additional time or labor required

A final price for a custom project will be discussed with the customer before the order is completed.

5. Custom Orders

Custom orders are created specifically for the customer and require communication before the order is placed.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate information, including requested colors, names, sizes, wording, personalization, and other specifications.

Once a custom design has been approved and production has begun, changes may not be possible.

Custom orders require additional creation time. Estimated completion times will be communicated as accurately as possible, but handmade items may take longer than originally anticipated due to the nature of the work, material availability, or circumstances outside of my control.

Custom orders are considered final sale unless otherwise agreed upon by The Wild Hare.

6. Custom Apparel

The Wild Hare offers custom apparel using apparel supplied by The Wild Hare.

For quality control and to protect both the customer and my equipment, customers may not provide their own apparel for customization.

This policy allows me to select apparel that is appropriate for the process and helps me guarantee the quality of the finished product. It also prevents customers from having to absorb the cost of an item should an unexpected problem occur during production and helps protect specialized equipment from materials that may cause damage.

Custom apparel pricing is based on the selected apparel, design, size, and complexity of the project.

Please contact wildhareshop19@gmail.com to discuss a custom apparel project before purchasing.

7. Handmade Items & Variations

Handmade means handmade!

Small differences in stitching, yarn placement, fabric, thread, color, texture, shape, or size may occur from one item to another.

Materials may also vary slightly from the materials shown in photographs due to availability.

These natural differences are part of what makes handmade products unique and are not considered defects.

Unless specifically stated in a listing, exact color matching cannot be guaranteed.

8. Memorial & Keepsake Items

The Wild Hare creates certain keepsakes and jewelry using customer-provided flowers and other meaningful materials.

These materials are handled with care and respect. However, natural and previously preserved materials can be fragile, unpredictable, or affected by age, moisture, deterioration, or previous handling.

The Wild Hare cannot guarantee that every material submitted will be suitable for use or that every piece of a submitted material will survive the crafting process.

Customers are responsible for properly packaging and delivering or shipping materials to The Wild Hare.

Once materials have been received, I will handle them with the utmost care. However, The Wild Hare cannot be held responsible for damage, deterioration, loss, or unusable materials that result from their existing condition or circumstances beyond reasonable control.

Because each memorial keepsake is unique, the finished piece may differ from examples shown in photographs.

9. Payment

Payment must be successfully completed before an order is considered confirmed unless another arrangement has been made directly with The Wild Hare.

For custom orders, production will not begin until the required payment and necessary design information have been received.

The Wild Hare reserves the right to cancel an order if payment cannot be successfully processed.

10. Local Porch Pickup

Local porch pickup is the default fulfillment option for The Wild Hare whenever available.

For your safety and mine, my pickup address is not publicly displayed on the website.

Once your order is ready, pickup instructions and the pickup location will be provided privately.

Customers are responsible for picking up their order during the agreed-upon timeframe.

Once an order has been placed in the designated pickup area and the customer has been notified that it is ready, The Wild Hare is not responsible for loss, theft, weather damage, or other damage occurring after the customer has been notified that the order is available for pickup.

If you are unable to pick up your order during the agreed-upon timeframe, please contact me to make other arrangements.

11. Shipping

Shipping is available for eligible items when requested and arranged with The Wild Hare.

Unless otherwise stated, shipping is limited to the United States.

Ready-to-ship orders will generally be shipped using an appropriate USPS service or another shipping provider selected by The Wild Hare.

Shipping time is separate from creation time. Custom orders require additional time for the item to be made before it is shipped.

Once an order has been handed to the shipping carrier, The Wild Hare is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather, incorrect addresses provided by the customer, or circumstances outside of my control.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address.

12. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

All sales are final.

Because The Wild Hare creates handmade, personalized, and custom products, returns and exchanges are not generally accepted.

Custom, personalized, made-to-order, and memorial items are especially not eligible for return or exchange simply because a customer changes their mind.

If there is a problem with your order, such as receiving the wrong item or an item arriving damaged, please contact wildhareshop19@gmail.com as soon as possible so that I can review the situation and determine the appropriate solution.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

13. Order Errors

Please review your order carefully before submitting it.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that information provided for an order is correct, including:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Apparel size
  • Personalization
  • Custom wording
  • Color selections
  • Other requested specifications

If you discover an error after placing an order, contact The Wild Hare as soon as possible. I will do my best to correct an error if production has not yet begun, but changes may not be possible once an item is already in production.

14. Digital Products

Digital products, when offered, are provided electronically and are considered final sale.

Because digital products cannot be physically returned, refunds are generally not available once a digital product has been purchased or downloaded.

Digital products are intended for the personal use or other use specifically stated in the individual product listing.

Unless otherwise stated, purchasing a digital product does not transfer copyright or ownership of the underlying design to the purchaser.

15. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content on The Wild Hare website, including photographs, product descriptions, logos, graphics, designs, written content, and branding, belongs to The Wild Hare or is used with appropriate permission.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or use The Wild Hare's content, photographs, designs, or branding for commercial purposes without written permission.

Purchasing a handmade item does not transfer ownership of the design or intellectual property associated with that item.

16. Customer Photos & Reviews

If you choose to send The Wild Hare photographs, reviews, testimonials, or other content related to your purchase, you give The Wild Hare permission to use that content for business-related purposes, including website, social media, marketing, or promotional materials, unless you specifically ask that it not be used.

The Wild Hare will not knowingly publish private personal information alongside customer content without permission.

17. Website Use

You agree to use this website for lawful purposes and not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or its systems
  • Interfere with the operation of the website
  • Use the website to engage in fraudulent activity
  • Copy or misuse website content
  • Upload malicious software or harmful material
  • Use information from the website for unlawful purposes

The Wild Hare reserves the right to refuse service or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including in cases involving suspected fraud, abuse, or other inappropriate activity.

18. Third-Party Websites & Services

The Wild Hare may provide links to third-party websites, social media platforms, payment providers, shipping providers, or other services.

The Wild Hare does not control these third-party websites or services and is not responsible for their content, availability, policies, or practices.

Your use of third-party services is subject to the terms and policies of those providers.

19. Website Information

I do my best to keep the information on this website accurate and current. However, occasional errors, omissions, outdated information, or technical issues may occur.

The Wild Hare reserves the right to correct errors and make changes to products, pricing, descriptions, availability, and website content at any time.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Wild Hare is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses resulting from the use of the website, inability to use the website, delays in shipping, circumstances outside of reasonable control, or misuse of products.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude or limit liability where doing so would not be permitted by law.

21. Events Outside of My Control

The Wild Hare is a small handmade business, and unexpected circumstances can sometimes affect production or fulfillment.

The Wild Hare will not be responsible for delays or inability to fulfill an order caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, illness, supply shortages, shipping disruptions, power outages, equipment failure, or other unforeseen circumstances.

If an unexpected situation affects your order, I will communicate with you and work toward a reasonable solution.

22. Changes to These Terms & Conditions

The Wild Hare may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time as the business, website, products, or services change.

When changes are made, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.
